The problem is that Drobo manages its own users and file permissions and the locally running operating system be it Windows, MacOS, or Linux has its own users and permissions.
Even when a system like MacOS or Linux has parallel characteristics, they are not synchronized between the Drobo and the local operating system. For me, it might be because I never use the Dashboard to mount a Share. You mentioned that you have several subdirectories.
If you want to delete all files and directories contained in the current directory, then it is easy but be careful! If your directories are only one level deep, then you can quickly remove all the empty directories. This may not work very well on MacOS since traversing around the directories using Finder will leave. Any help would be appreciated.
